February Cooling, Heating Equipment Shipments Rise

Apr 14, 2010 - Led by warm air furnace shipments, U.S. factory shipments of heating and cooling equipment showed further gains in February, according to the latest statistical news release from the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).

U.S. Shipments, February vs. February 2009

Residential gas water heaters, + 3%
Residential electric water heaters -3%
Commercial gas water heaters + 4%
Commercial electric water heaters, -4%
Gas warm air furnaces, + 22%
Oil warm air furnaces, + 8%
Combined central air conditioner and air-source heat pumps, �4%.

Residential gas water heaters, + 3%
Residential electric water heaters, � 2%
Commercial gas water heaters, + 2%
Commercial electric water heaters, - 9%
Gas warm air furnaces, +24%
Oil warm air furnaces, +41 %
